THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am writing on behalf of the homosexuals, or 'B-men', in this country. It is time for this nation to realise that gays are citizens of this nation also and are humans, and are to be seen and treated thus.

God loves everyone. Everyone is a child of God (Psalm 82:6), even the B-man. Jesus Christ died for all men, including the B-man. The Church needs to take a stand against the abuse of homosexuals. I repeat, Jesus Christ died for the B-man.

Hear ye! Hear ye! Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed before Jesus Christ came. Be careful how we use this scriptural saga to justify ill-treating gays. And, by the way, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed primarily because of pride, not homosexuality. Read Ezekiel 16:49.

God is not a God of hate. Jesus taught us to love even our enemies, whether that enemy is straight or a B-man.

It is time for the politicians to repeal the buggery law that incriminates adults having sex in privacy. As long as there is no rape or paedophilia involved, there is no place for the law.

President Obama has made a stand for gays in America. The politicians in Jamaica should take a stand with him.
