Summer camp for your kids

1. Music & dancing

Small Treasures Child Care will host summer school from July 8 to August 23. Exciting activities include Dancin' Dynamites, dance classes, speech and drama, music, karate, games, etiquette and social graces, and art and craft. Classes will be held from Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will also offer aftercare from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

2. Special needs

Enrichment teachers from Reach Academy in Kingston will be staging a summer camp for special-needs children this July. The camp is specifically designed for s children aged five-12 years old.

Activities include exercising gross motor skills; lessons using the iPad applications; reinforce social interactions and academic tasks, and much more.

Other activities include ribbon dancing, arts and crafts, origami, crayon making and painting, and games that focus on socialisation skills.

The camp will be hosted Mondays-Thursdays, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. from July 1 to 19. Cost is $40,000.

Parents will save $2,000 with the early-bird special for those who register by June 19. The registration deadline is Wednesday, June 26. Spaces are limited and interested persons are encouraged to register at Reach Academy Mondays to Thursdays between the hours of 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The school is located at 2 Widcombe Road.

3. 'Ballaz' camp

Ballaz will be hosting football camps in July and August for boys and girls ages four to 16 years old.

The football fiesta camp will be held from Tuesday, July 16 to Friday, July 19 at the Football Factory, off Shortwood Road. Session one for four to six and seven-11 year olds will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. and session two for seven-11 and 12-15 year olds will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

First touch football camps for Lil Ballaz and Junior and Bigga Ballaz will be held over a two-week period from Tuesday, August 13 to Saturday, August 24 and from Tuesday, August 20 to Saturday, August 24, scheduled for Jamaica College.
