The roof terrace of Digicel's regional headquarters came to life last Wednesday night with a special media cocktail. Media personnel turned up in their numbers to show their support to the new CEO of the bigger, better network.

The Silver Birds Steel Orchestra never disappointed, keeping guests entertained. The man of the hour, Digicel Jamaica's CEO Barry O'Brien, welcomed his guests to his humble abode. His short-but-sweet speech included the purpose of the event, getting to know the media, getting the media to know him, showing his gratitude to them for their support throughout the year, as well as strengthening the symbiotic relations shared with the telecommunications network.

With the formalities out of the way, a mingling frenzy ensued. A few gave into the recorded music which took over, while all indulged in the sweet and savoury hors d'oeuvres, and bubbly libations.

The theme of the night - red and white, remained true to form, and everyone in attendance let their hair down.
