Glad bag buss fi Tessanne

THE EDITOR, Sir:
Having heard about the well-liked Tessanne Chin entering NBC's popular talent show, The Voice, my curiosity was aroused.
The entire Jamaica was rooting for her. Tessanne's performance underscores the fact that Jamaica is endowed with talented individuals.
The most priceless and invaluable screams came from two of the most important cheerleaders she could have ever asked for. "Yesssss! All four, Baby!" and "Talk to them, Baby!" said her husband and father, respectively.
This reminded me that support is a critical success factor for any venture, but what stood out in this instance is that it was two males representing that pillar of support. I believe it dispatched a message to Jamaican men and encourages us to assume our roles in the family structure while helping to produce more Tessannes.
Chin represented all of us on Tuesday night. Her voice flowed like a river, and she was unapologetically all Jamaican.
Tessanne, you have made us proud, and the best part is that this is only the beginning. Nuff respect! Pride a buss inna we heart!
