Singer Tessanne Chin has social media abuzz once again as she moves impressively into another round of the United States-based vocal competition, The Voice.
Her sister, Tami Chynn, could not contain her excitement when she tweeted, "@Tessanne the people have spoken!!! Joy to di world!!!! I can't even explain my excitement!!!!"
Another viewer, Sasha-gaye Robinson, also tweeted, "Congrats to Tessanne Chin who made it to the next round w/12 contestants on The Voice #TeamBreadAndButter #TeamTessanne."
At last night's show, Chin and other members of Team Adam were the last of the teams to perform. As a group, they did a decent rendition of Safe And Sound while interacting with the audience. Chin was the second contestant from Team Adam to be announced as one of the safe contestants. The other safe contestants from her team were James Wolpert and Will Champlin.
Tears flowed
But before she could leave the stage after finding out that she would perform in another live show, tears flowed as she hugged all the members of her team.
Last night's results followed Chin's performance on Monday when she did a well-received rendition of Jimmy Cliff's Many Rivers To Cross that also closed the show. But her journey started in September when she wowed audiences singing Pink's Try. She followed up with another strong performance in the battle round, where she competed against Donna Allen, and thrilled in the knockout round with Kelly Clarkson's Stronger.
In the live-show phase, contestants move on to the next round based on calls online and text votes from the public. In this round, each song purchased on iTunes translates into five votes.
