Fans head to Amazon for Tessanne - 'Voice' performances spark interest in singer's debut album

Since Tessanne Chin's appearance in popular United States competition, The Voice, its seems her popularity has grown both locally and internationally as new fans seek to get more of her music and old fans try to reconnect, if ever they slacked off.

Chin, who during her previous musical exploits had released an album called In Between Words, received rave reviews for songs like Hideaway, You and Me which features her sister Tami Chynn and Messenger.

However, there was not much to speak of in terms of the commercial success of In Between Words.

Following Chin's string of incredible performances on The Voice, shrugging off challenges from several America-born contestants, fans have begun to revisit her album on Amazon.com where the digital mp3 is being sold for $8.99.

Some fans have even stated on the website that they have decided to revisit the album because of Chin's performance on The Voice.

"I must admit that I rediscovered Tessanne after watching The Voice. I knew a few songs years ago, Hideaway, Messenger, Guilty by Design but didn't realise she released an album. I had to support my girl, and will continue to do so. What an amazing voice. This album is great, and the lyrics are so poignant. I love her reggae-rock fusion, hope she continues that. My favourites are Messenger, Blue Lights and Hideaway. You can play this album from start to finish. Big up Jamaica," said Jamerican 13.

While Toby Thomas said "Nikki Z was promoting her, and I liked her song. Then I see her perform on The Voice and had to buy it".

Amazon.com rated Chin's songs based on the number of hits received on their page. At present, Hideaway leads the pack as the most popular song on her Amazon profile.
