Long before Tessanne Chin took 'The Voice' stage, Jamaicans were gearing up for a #TessTop4 party in hopes of garnering more votes for the songbird to make it into the last quartet.
Fans crowded into popular spaces such as Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records and the Chris Gayle-owned Triple Century last night to watch the show and were definitely in Team Tessanne mode.
With each contestant performing two songs this week, her first performance was close to home, as coach Adam Levine chose Bob Marley's Redemption Song.
"I want to get this right," she said.
And get it right she did. Chin stole the show with her mind-blowingly soulful, tear-jerking rendition of the song and was rewarded with a standing ovation from Levine, as well as audience members.
For her second song, which she dedicated to her mom and dad, Tessanne performed Unconditionally by Katy Perry.
Teary-eyed Tessanne once again tugged at the heart-strings of the viewers.
Blake Shelton, who had never commented on Tessanne's previous performances, could no longer hold back and sang her praises last night.
"You are a world-class vocalist. You can sing with the best vocalists on earth ... . We haven't seen anyone quite like you on the show," Shelton said.
