Shaggy and Friends disappointing

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I attended the recently held Shaggy and Friends concert, and while there were a few good performances, I was left feeling disappointed.

The tickets are very expensive but I closed my eyes and paid because the money is to be given to charity. For those of us who could not afford 'platinum' tickets and instead had to do our best to see the stage from the lowly 'silver' section, the experience was not at all thrilling.

The crowd was so huge that it was a struggle at times just to see the stage. There was no place to sit and there were simply too many acts on stage.

show too long

The show should not have gone on till after three in the morning. The time should have been better managed so that we could have all got our money's worth and got home at a decent hour.

It was a fair effort at putting on a concert, but I have attended much better shows here in Jamaica that did not attract the cost of this event. Perhaps organisers should consider lowering the price of tickets next year. This could very well increase revenue.
