Silver Star displays AMG power - Special version of Mercedes-Benz E63 luxurious, powerful

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG sedan was unveiled at the Silver Star Motors' South Camp Road, Kingston, showroom last Wednesday. While the vehicle was still concealed with a white cover, the powerful engine was revved to greet the specially invited guests.

Brand and sales manager at Silver Star, Sloane Jackson, attributed the boom that resonated throughout the room to the AMG 5.5-litre V8 engine's power. It has a rated output of 410kw (557hp) and torque of 720nm.

Externally, the E63 AMG also boasts a redesigned front, with the new 'twin blade' radiator grille and 'A-wing' in the front apron defining the fashionable look.

Along with race start, the E63 AMG offers four additional driving programmes. They are S (Sport), S+ (Sport Plus), M (Manual) and Controlled Efficiency, the last providing optimal fuel conservation driving.

The presentation guests got the opportunity to enter the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG's cabin. It comes equipped with a three-tube instrument cluster and a redesigned centre console with an analogue central display, which creates a modern flat-screen appearance.

Standard features include a central locking system, cruise control including speedtronic and a variable speed limiter. The front seats can also be electrically adjusted to change height and backrest angle.

For safety, there are side airbags for the driver and front passenger seat. The E63 has an automatic heating system with dust filter and air recirculation mode. There is also an electronic stability programme, external temperature display and heated rear windscreen with time relay.

The E63 AMG is equipped with several technological features to enhance the driving experience. They include a direct steer system, attention assist, automatic child seat recognition and parktronic, including parking guidance.

The car also boasts a panoramic sunroof, memory package for front seats, adaptive high-beam assist and cornering light function. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG is available for $25,000,000 with full duty, inclusive of three years' free service.
