Telstar upgrading cable system
THE EDITOR, Sir: I write in response to a letter published in your newspaper on October 27, 2014 regarding the availability of the PBS channel through Telstar.
Since Telstar was acquired by Digicel on September 11, 2014, we have continued to work around the clock to deliver world-class TV offerings to Telstar customers. As part of this effort, we have been - and continue to be - in conversation with the major content providers with a view to deliver a top-class choice of channels to our customers.
Additionally, we are in the process of upgrading and expanding our TV network so that we can bring modern, state-of-the-art Telstar television offerings to existing and new customers. During this process, our customers have experienced some temporary disruptions and we would like to apologise to those who may have been affected.
We are committed to keeping our customers updated as the work progresses. As such, we will be making contact with customers over the coming weeks and months with an outline of what they can expect from Telstar as we work to deliver the very best television service in Jamaica.
We thank our customers for their loyalty to Telstar over the years and we look forward to bringing the very best television programming to all our customers in the near future.
