Debutant fast bowler Marquino Mindley and spinner Nikita Miller were again the stars of the show for Jamaica Franchise on yesterday's second day of their WICB Four-day Professional League clash against Windwards Volcanoes at Sabina Park.

Mindley, who ended day one with three for seven, and made a third best score of 43, went on to finish with five for 35 in the Windwards total of 110.

Miller, who made a top score of 57 not out in Jamaica's first-innings total of 208, went on to pick up four for 25 to best support Mindley on what was another eventful day.

Jamaica, batting a second time, closed the day on 148 for nine for an overall lead of 246 runs.

Nkrumah Bonner made 41, Carlton Baugh Jr 31 and Damion Jacobs, 29.

"The team is in a fairly good position, and I am happy that I could play a role," said Mindley.

"It is my first first-class game, but I always back myself to perform, and thankfully it has happened.

"I am also hoping that I will bowl well again, and finish with 10 wickets in the match, if possible," added the 19-year-old. Play is slated to resume at 9:30 a.m. today.

At Providence: Guyana Jaguars 343 (Narsingh Deonarine 110 not out, Anthony Bramble 46, Shiv Chanderpaul 45; Gavin Tonge 4-60).
