Kartel lawyers to meet today

The lawyers for controversial dancehall entertainer, Vybz Kartel, are to meet with their client today after the artiste was charged with another murder yesterday.
Kartel, whose real name is Adidjah Palmer, was charged yesterday in relation to the killing of Clive Williams, otherwise called ‘Lizard’, who was murdered on August 16, 2011 in Havendale, St. Andrew.
He was jointly charged with another man identified as Kiro Jones,whose alias is ‘Ray Jones’.
Kartel and two other men are already before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on murder-related charges.
They are facing the charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and illegal possession of firearm.
The charges relate to the shooting death of St. Catherine businessman and promoter, Barrington Burton.
Burton was shot and killed in July while standing with friends in Gregory Park, St. Catherine.
Kartel and his co-accused are to return to court tomorrow.
The artiste is also before the court on a drug related charge.
