Holness to show up in Cabinet room soon

The Government of Jamaica is assuring the country that the face of former Prime Minister Andrew Holness will be seen in the Cabinet meeting room in the near future.



The statement of assurance came after a Gleaner article today highlighted that Holness was not among the former leaders of Jamaica.



In the article it said that Sir Alexander Bustamante, Norman Manley, Donald Sangster, Hugh Shearer, Edward Seaga, Michael Manley, P.J. Patterson, Portia Simpson Miller and Bruce Golding (a photograph) hung on the walls in the room.



Holness, who, became the youngest, 39, and second shortest (October 23, 2011 to January 5, 2012) serving prime minister was missing.



A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister reveal that it will commission portraits of former Prime Ministers Bruce Golding, Andrew Holness and Portia Simpson Miller.



According to the release seven of the portraits are a series by Jamaican master painter, Barrington Watson, CD.



The painting of Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, is hanging courtesy of her personal collection.
