The 21-year-old Mattocks, who recently signed a three-year contract with the MLS last month, was the Freshman Player of the Year in 2010 after netting a team-high 18 goals, while crafting six assists, to help Akron University secure their first national title.
Mattocks was the second leading scorer in the Division One Championship last season, with 21 goals in 21 games.
In the process, he led Akron University to the quarter-finals of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) competition.
