State dinner for Prince Harry

A state dinner is to be held this evening for Prince Harry who is in the island as part of celebrations for the 60th anniversary of his grandmother, Her Majesty the queen, ascension to the throne.

The dinner will take place at King’s House and is being hosted by the Governor General, Sir Patrick Allen.

At the function, Prince Harry is expected to make a toast to Jamaica and the people of the country.

Before the dinner, The Prince is to visit the University of the West Indies, the Bustamante Hospital for Children, the Victoria Jubilee Hospital, and the Rise Life Management Service in Kingston.

The Prime Minister is to host a private lunch for The Prince at the historic Devon House this afternoon.
