Jamaican Olympic gold medalist Yohan 'The Beast' Blake was given the honour of ringing the bell to signal the start of play in the third and final Test match between England and South Africa at Lord's.

The ringing of the bell at Lord's the Home of Cricket is considered a huge honour and Blake became the first non-cricketer to ring the bell.



Blake won three medals at the recently concluded London Olympic games with silver in the 100 and 200m behind country man Usain Bolt and gold in the world- record breaking 4x100m team.

Blake, who is a big cricket fan and said he would play in the Indian Premier League called the gesture an "honour for him.
