LIME reduces iPhone 4S price
LIME has reduced the price of its iPhone 4S handset by 20 per cent to J$12,720 plus General Consumption Tax (GCT) when taken with its value-packed Ultrapak and post-paid data plans.
Monthly charges ranging from J$4,699 plus GCT are packed with value-bundled minutes, including cross-net, text and data, the company said in a release.
According to the company’s Head of Products, Dwight Williams, “LIME’s position as Jamaica’s most reliable data network along with being Jamaica’s exclusive iPhone distributor puts us in a position to make this value-based offer to our subscribers.”
The iPhone 4S is loaded with features including the Siri voice command personal assistant that allows users to set reminders, alarms, do voice calling and search the Internet by voice command.
LIME said more executives are using iPhones for reading corporate and personal emails along with taking advantage of additional features that allow them to easily view and edit Microsoft documents on the go and make projected PowerPoint presentations.
“The iPhone is perfect for relaxation. It allows users to enjoy their music and movie library, stream local and international radio and television stations, keep updated with sporting events, ‘YouTubing’, shopping, stay in touch on Facebook and Twitter or simply visiting their favourite website,” the release said.
iMessage, Facetime and other popular applications such as WhatsApp and Skype enable iPhone users to stay in touch with family, friends and business associates across Jamaica and the world with a crisp 8 megapixel camera to boot.
“This iPhone price reduction from LIME is set to propel the Jamaican mobile pioneer’s subscriber base further up the global trajectory where the best mobile operators are being distinguished by their ability to offer innovation, including fast mobile Internet services as well as the most modern devices that customers are increasingly demanding.” LIME said.
