Mayor Burke says sorry for 'F' tweet
Jovan Johnson, Gleaner Writer
Mayor of Kingston, Angela Brown-Burke has apologised for a tweet from her account last night which many persons using social media have deemed offensive.
"What the F." the tweet read. "All angles has Holness, Direct has Audley both discussing the IMF and Jamaica's economic future. How biased can media be?"
All Angles is a current affairs programme aired on Television Jamaica and Direct, a similar programme aired on CVM TV.
But after widespread criticism, the mayor removed the post today and issued an apology.
“For those who were offended by my tweet. Let me apologise unreservedly,” the tweet read.

She later tweeted “The discussions last night on all angles and direct needed to have some balance. And this is not an attack on the media. Just my views.”
The producer of CVM’s Direct, Garfield Burford, said Government members cited short notice as the reason for not taking up an invitation, while TVJ’s All Angles host, Dionne Jackson-Miller, said another guest is not usually invited on the programme with the Opposition Leader or the Prime Minister.
