JUTC bus drivers on strike

Published:Thursday | November 28, 2013 | 4:38 PM

The management of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) and union representatives are currently locked in a meeting to discussing how to pacify bus drivers who are on strike.

According to JUTC’s Marketing and Communications, Clinton Clarke, the drivers are on strike in show of solidarity to a driver who was reportedly arrested by the police this morning.

Clarke told The Gleaner/Power 106 News that he is hoping the issue will be resolved soon to reduce the impact on commuters.

The circumstances surrounding the driver’s arrest are currently unclear.
