Hundreds of Tessanne Chin fans have gathered in Half-Way Tree, the St Andrew capital, for the televised announcement of the winner of the American talent show, The Voice.

From as early as 7 p.m. people started to gather and at 9 p.m. the crowd swelled into the hundreds.

The police have been trying to ensure that traffic flow remains possible.

At the close of voting today Tessanne left six songs on iTunes' Top 100 Songs chart.
