Social media has been reacting with shock and sadness at the passing of Agriculture Minister Roger Clarke.

On Twitter, some of Jamaica’s leading personalities expressed their sympathies:

On Facebook, veteran journalist and university lecturer, Fae Ellington, said “Larger than life. No more with us. All of the expansive island-wide highway system that has been put in over the last decade plus, was first told me as the plans for the future by Roger Clarke.”
