MIT detectives seek help to find cop killers
Detectives from the Major Investigations Taskforce (MIT) have identified two suspects in the August 19 gun murder of Corporal Georgette Collymore.
The policewoman who was assigned to the Constant Spring station,
was shot dead by two men who invaded her home at Mount Ogle, Lawrence Tavern in St Andrew.
Investigators believe the suspects are from the Cassava Piece, Constant Spring, Kingston 8 area.
They’re seeking the help of members of the public to locate them.
The first suspect is believed to be in his early thirties, of dark complexion, slim build, about 170 centimeters or 5 feet 7 inches tall and sports a jherri curl hair style.
The second suspect is believed to be in his early twenties, of brown complexion, medium build, about 160 centimeters or 5 feet 3 inches tall with a round face.
Its reported that the police corporal arrived home from work about 6 p.m. where herself and a family member were pounced on by two men armed with guns.
During a struggle with one of the criminals, she was shot.
The gunmen escaped in a grey Toyota Corolla motor car with her service revolver.
