Reggae Boyz, Colombia face off

Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz will play South American team Colombia in an international friendly today at the Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 6.30 p.m. Jamaica time.

Jamaica are coming off back-to-back away losses to China and Ecuador and as a result the coaching staff has made several changes to today’s game.

The Reggae Boyz were beaten 1-0 by China on August 10 and 5-2 by Ecuador on Friday.

New players Errol Stevens of Arnett Gardens and Ewan Grandison of Portmore United have replaced Troy Smith and Andrew Vanzie, who both came on as substitutes against Ecuador.

Lovell Palmer now playing for Portland Timbers in the USA receives a call up as well as Jason Morrison of Aaelusund in Norway.

Also joining the squad are experienced defender Jermaine Taylor of Houston Dynamo; and midfielder Omar Daley who recently signed for Motherwell FC in Scotland.

Colombia are coming off a victory after defeating Costa Rica 2-0 on Saturday night.
