A new political party has been launched in St Kitts and Nevis.

The People’s Labour Party, which is an off-shoot of the ruling St Kitts-Nevis Labour Party was formally unveiled this morning.

Headed by former senior cabinet minister Dr Timothy Harris and former deputy prime minister Sam Condor, the party has promised to unite citizens and a new beginning in the political development of the twin island federation.

Harris says the rationale behind the party’s formation is the development and implementation of people’s centered policies and programmes that will deliver concrete benefits to citizens regardless of their gender, creed, sex or party affiliation.
