2 Elderly men plead guilty to trafficking charges

Two elderly men who were the first persons to be charged in Jamaica with trafficking in persons have pleaded guilty to the charge.
Fifty two-year-old woodcrafter Agon Stephens, and 54-year-old businessman and taxi operator Narcot Graham, both of Kingston addresses will be sentenced tomorrow.
They pleaded guilty today to the charge when they appeared for trial in the Home Circuit Court.
The facts of the case are that the men attempted to get a 14-year-old girl involved in prostitution.
In May 2006, the men planned with an undercover policeman for him to have sexual intercourse with the girl for US $400.
The money was paid to the men and when the police later swooped down on them, they were held with a total of US $400 in their possession.
