PNP stalwart George Lyn passes

Former Parliamentarian for North Central Clarendon George Lyn, one of the People’s National Party's stalwarts who helped to usher the party back to electoral glory in 1989 has died.




Lyn, an affable politician with deep rural roots died at age 81 in the May Pen Hospital this morning after a long illness.



His wife of many years, Lena Lyn, was by his side.



The former MP suffered a stroke four years ago and a heart attack about two weeks ago that sent him back to hospital.
