Jill McIntosh, the technical director of Netball Jamaica, will continue to guide the local programme until the Netball World Cup in Sydney, Australia in 2015.

President of Netball Jamaica Marva Bernard confirmed that McIntosh, who joined the coaching staff in April, will be back to help the team take a further step in its goal to become the number one team in the world.

The former Australian player and head coach helped guide the Sunshine Girls to the bronze medal at the recently concluded Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

McIntosh was appointed coach of the Australian team in 1995 and under her guidance the team won the 1995 and 1999 World Championships and the 1998 Commonwealth Games gold medal.

McIntosh will return to Australia for a short stint before returning to Jamaica.
