KINGSTON, Jamaica:
Andre West and Dwayne Owen have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of HIV/AIDS activist, Steve Harvey.
They had been found guilty in July.
In 2005, Harvey was abducted from his home by gunmen who robbed him of several items, and then shot him.
His body was found on November 30, 2005.
Justice Lloyd Hibbert says the men are to serve 30 years before they are eligible for parole.
He says he took into account the fact that they have been in custody for ten years.
Prosecutors Kathy Pryce and Karen Seymour Johnson had asked that West and Owen be given the death penalty.
