Your vision shapes your world
Have you ever stopped to ponder whether the world you perceive truly reflects reality? Every time we look at something or someone, our perception is filtered through the lens of our life experiences. This includes our upbringing, cultural background, and personal beliefs, all of which converge to shape how we interpret and engage with the world. It is a complex network of social, family, and personal experiences that gives us a set of programmed responses to what we see. So, it is most likely that we are not seeing things as they are, but seeing things as I am. Consequently, instead of seeing things objectively, we often view them subjectively, coloured by our inner coding.
Is it possible to recalibrate our perception and response to the world around us, being able to refocus our vision, reorient our thinking, and change our emotional attitudes, and perceptions and create a new system of response? If we could cleanse our perception, everything would appear infinite. Currently, our perception is akin to looking through foggy glasses, providing only a limited and obscured view.
CLARITY OF VISION
We are seeing as if through dirty or dusty spectacles and therefore have only partial (in)sight. To gain clarity, it is vital to step back, weigh the issues, reflect on the circumstances, see the bigger picture, and comprehend the broader context - the continuum in which people and events are flowing. We need to stop reacting to a snapshot moment.
Life unfolds swiftly, demanding rapid responses on occasion. However, we can synthesise these multifaceted aspects by forging a connection with our spiritual core through the practice of pausing for a few seconds and diving deep into that deep silence.
SILENCE IS THE KEY
Moments of silence serve as a conduit to cleanse our perception and restore our spiritual vision. By envisioning ourselves as pure energy, we establish a profound connection with the self and allow it to permeate through every fibre of our being, dispelling the mental clutter that clouds our vision. This process fosters a dialogue with our subconscious, empowering us to refine and expand our awareness.
Through consistent and dedicated practice, we unearth hidden virtues such as compassion, forgiveness, and acceptance. We begin to recognise and honour the spiritual essence within ourselves and others. This newfound clarity transforms our relationships, nurturing cooperation, empathy, and understanding.
In essence, the transformation of our perception can profoundly alter how we experience and navigate the world. It entails not merely seeking out new landscapes but endeavouring to view familiar ones through a fresh, clear lens of wisdom, compassion, and divine grace. The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.
