WISDOM OF THE WEEK

To love is to have a childlike heart

What is it about a newborn child that attracts everyone effortlessly? Whether the child is crying, unclean, or even sick, we still feel drawn to them. There is something beyond appearance or behaviour that makes a child lovable. When we look at a child, we smile instinctively even if they are crying. Does the child make an effort to gain our attention or love? No. Then why?

INNATE IS EFFORTLESS

The very essence of the child, in its purest form, is naturally loving and joyful. It is their pure, unstained heart that naturally radiates joy and love. Their energy is so powerful that even an irritated or tired person feels lighter and happier around them.

A child’s purity of the heart has a profound impact because positivity is stronger than negativity – unless we actively reinforce the negative. Children live in the present moment, free from unnecessary worries, grudges, or expectations. Their state of being is simple and natural, untouched by conditioning. But as we grow, we forget this effortless joy and love. Instead, we accumulate experiences, judgements, and fears that create barriers within us. Yet, the inner child within us still longs for pure love and happiness. It knows that love is not something we must earn or demand. It is simply our innate state of being that naturally radiates.

REMOVING BLOCKAGES

To be childlike does not mean being immature but reconnecting with our natural state of love, joy, and peace. This means letting go of conditioning, fears, and judgements that cloud our hearts. A child does not store memories of how others behave. They live freely, without baggage. As adults, we have the power to make a conscious choice – either to trigger the positive traits in others or the negative. Our energy field, created by our thoughts and choices, influences not only us but also those around us, which can either allow the free flow of energy or create a blockage.

BE LOVE

‘Being’ is why children attract people regardless of race, gender, or background. Their natural being creates a universal connection. But over time, we accumulate memories, expectations, and conditions that block our natural flow of love. Just as the body’s circulation flows naturally unless obstructed, love and joy flow effortlessly from us. We don’t need to make an effort to love or feel happy. We simply need to remove the blockages that obstruct the flow.

By releasing everything that goes against love and joy – resentment, fear, or expectations – we return to our true nature. Love is not something to do or achieve, It is something to be. And in being love, we naturally uplift and attract all, just like a child.
