Novamed, the new owners of Knutsford Court Hotel in New Kingston, have renamed the four-acre property Summit.

Novamed Founder and Principal, Dr David Walcott made the announcement at the completion of the US$40 million deal to acquire the property and said renovations have already started.

He said the rebranded property will become a "smart business campus".

“Summit will facilitate progressive businesses which operate in the finance, fitness, food, health, recreation, legal, ed-tech sectors, among others," added Novamed Principal, Kevin Donaldson.

He said although renovations to the complex are not yet complete, some commercial activity will commence via Summit's Chelsea Avenue entrance in the coming days.

Knutsford Court Hotel, which comprises 153 rooms, is accessible from both Chelsea Avenue and Ruthven Road, with parking available on both sides.

Ownership of the hotel, formerly known as Sutton Place Hotel, was last transferred at a cost of US$12 million to Knutsford Court Hotel Limited in September 2002.
