Negotiations continue between T&T, Venezuela on border gas field
PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Negotiations regarding the Venezuelan Dragon across border gas field continued during a meeting held on Wednesday between government representatives and others, including the President of National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited in Caracas, Venezuela.
The parties spent hours negotiating as they focused on bringing the possibility of the cross border gas deal closer.
According to a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister, there remains a number of areas where further work is required.
The release added that Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Stuart Young, has agreed to return to Caracas in two weeks in an attempt to settle the terms of the agreement.
The Venezuelan delegation included officials from the Ministry of Petroleum.
Executives of Shell were also in attendance.
