Kingston Jerk and Gospel Festival set for Monday

Gospel artiste-event organiser Chozenn is gearing up to host the first staging of Kingston Jerk and Gospel Festival. The event will be held on Monday, October 19, on the lawns of the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.

The event was previously postponed, however, this time, the promoter promises to deliver strong performances from some of Jamaica's finest gospel artistes as well as food galore.

The Kingston Jerk and Gospel Festival will feature performances from Jodian Pantry, Rondell Positive, Chozenn, St Matthew, Omari, D Murphy, Jermaine Gordon, Katalys Crew, Sean Lypher, and Kimola Brown-Lowe, among others.

Children under 12 will gain access to all this entertainment for free, while adults will be required to pay $700 for pre-sold tickets and $1,000 at the gate. Groups of 12 will enjoy a discounted price of $500 per person.

The event will carry a food court, a shopping strip, a celebrity grill-off, a JCDC Cultural Expo, and a family fun land.

Tickets for the Kingston Jerk and Gospel Festival may be purchased at the York Pharmacy and Signature Styles store - both located in Half Way Tree - and at the La Vega Pharmacy in Spanish Town.

The event will commence at 10 a.m. and will run until 10 p.m. Sponsors include Bigga, Boom energy drink, WATA, Digicel, JCDC, Caribbean Airlines, The Best Dressed Chicken, among others.
