Young dancers poised to dance with Silento
Some 14 kids between the ages of seven and 16 will be given a special treat on July 9. They will have the opportunity to meet and dance onstage with Billboard award-winning artiste Silento, when he comes to Jamaica for the YMZ concert to be held on the field at the National Stadium in St Andrew.
Mysterious Music Minds, the entity staging YMZ, will be hosting a dance contest in order to choose the lucky 14.
"All they have to do is upload to YouTube the video of themselves dancing to Silento's, and send us the link. The entries with the most views will be declared winners and they will meet Silento and later join him live onstage. We are anticipating that it will be a lot of fun," explained Dave Lindsay, a director of Mysterious Music Minds.
Already the contest is heating up and the entries have started to come in.
"Those that we have so far are really good," said Lindsay, adding that this comes as no surprise as Jamaicans are known for their dancing skills.
The deadline for sending in entries is June 29 and the winners will be chosen by July 2.
YMZ, to be held on July 9, features Silento, R5, Bling Dawg, Don Andre, Voicemail, and Wayne J.
