A Musical Feast For Jazz In The Garden
Come Sunday, August 7, the gardens of the Jamaica Pegasus will ignite with another set of super acts that have been selected to perform at the popular Jazz in the Gardens series.
Among the great acts scheduled to take centrestage during what is described as a musical feast for the senses is saxophonist Tony Greene, Harold Davis and his orchestra, vocalists Gem Myers and Noreta Lewis; violinist extraordinaire Shannon Ramdial, the Urim 7 Band, and other surprises. Providing musical direction and backing, will be drummer Desi Jones and his musical friends.
The concert is co-sponsored by Power 106/Music 99 and endorsed by Kool 97 FM. Other sponsors include Clear Sound Productions and The Jamaica Pegasus.
The two charities to benefit from the show are:- the Best Care Foundation, a privately run institution that caters to mentally challenged children and young adults from ages four to 21.
The other charity is the Voluntary Organisation for
the Upliftment of Children, a non-governmental agency developed as a state-of-the-art centre for the assessment of children with special needs at the early childhood level.
Admission is $2,500 pre-sold and $3,000 at the gate. Ticket outlets include Super-Med Pharmacy, Mall Plaza, and the Jamaica Pegasus hotel.
