The Curse of La Llorona | Save the children

In 1970, Los Angeles, the legendary ghost La Llorona is stalking the night – and the children.

Latin-born American social worker Anna Tate-Garcia is called on to investigate the disappearance of two children, but while on the case, ignores the warning of a troubled mother suspected of child endangerment. Anna soon finds herself and her own young children drawn into a terrifying supernatural realm. Their only hope of surviving La Llorona’s deadly wrath is a disillusioned priest who practises mysticism to keep evil at bay.

Based on the Mexican folklore of La Llorona, this horror film stars Linda Cardellini, Raymond Cruz and Patricia Velásquez. La Llorona is directed by Michael Chaves in his directorial debut, and written by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconi.
