Festival Queen Coronation

The grand coronation will be held at the Little Theatre in Kingston beginning at 3:30p.m. It will be aired live on TVJ and PBCJ as well as live-streamed on the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s website – www.jcdc.gov.jm, Facebook and YouTube pages.

This year’s contestants are Nakinskie Robinson, Miss Westmoreland; Danielle Miller, Miss Hanover; Shelice Anderson, Miss Trelawny; Kaydian Taylor, Miss St Elizabeth; Dominique Reid, Miss Manchester; Dennae Mills, Miss Clarendon; Tamoy Campbell, Miss Kingston and St Andrew; Kemoy Perry, Miss St Catherine; Ashagaye Kadijah Mullings, Miss St Thomas; Lamoya Robinson, Miss Portland; Claudia Campbell, Miss Mary; Morganne Jada Kellier, Miss St James and Amanda Marsh; Miss St Ann.

The reigning Queen is Khamara Wright of St Catherine.

Gospel Star Finals

The finals of the rebranded Jamaica Gospel Star Competition will be held on Emancipation Day, August 1, at 6 p.m.

The grand prize winner will be selected from among the top five finalists who were identified following the elimination shows. They are: Ornela (Unleashing Purpose Ministries) – Vote 444-4211; Daynea Deacon Jones (The New Testament Assembly) – Vote 444-4213; Erica Lumsden (Clermont SDA) – Vote 444-4216; Daron Mitchell (Family, Word and Worship) – Vote 444-4218 and Malika James (Wesleyan Holiness Church) – Vote 444-4217.

Voting for the winner closes on August 1 at 4 p.m. The grand finale is being held virtually and may be viewed on CVM TV, Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) website – www.jcdc.gov.jm; the JCDC Facebook page and also the YouTube channel.

The 2020 winner was Treisha Williams with her entry titled One Dose.
