New York gala to build children’s clinic in St Ann sold out
Hours before the start of a New York City gala to raise funds to build a health clinic for the children of St Ann, the promoters of the event have declared that the Sony Hall event, scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. start on Saturday, is sold out.
"We're more than sold out," declared Paul Issa, chairman of the Issa Trust Foundation.
The US$350 ticket event will feature performances by iconic reggae band Third World as well as Leon & The Peoples.
Tonight's offerings will also include dinner, dancing and a silent auction.
"I want to thank the folks in New York City for supporting the event so generously, as well as our local sponsors in Jamaica", Issa beamed.
"Even the weather is perfect today, and we look forward to accomplishing our goal to make a difference in the lives of the children of St Ann, Jamaica.
