Twenty-six-year-old Deidrian Downer has been named Miss Global Jamaica 2026. She was crowned early Sunday morning at the Douglas Orane Auditorium at Wolmer’s Boys’ School by last year’s representative, Keri-Ann Greenwood, who is also the first runner-up of Miss Global 2025. Downer competed wearing the sash Miss Zimii Haircare. Rounding out the top three are first runner-up Kadejah Anderson and second runner-up Rasheda Green. Special guest Miss Global 2025 Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van from Vietnam, who spoke of her delight being invited to the island, was also in attendance.
This marks the first time Miss Global Jamaica has held its own pageant on home soil. One of the main goals of the competition is to empower women aged between 20 and 38 years old.
Downer will be representing on the international stage later this year.
Established in 2013, the Miss Global pageant is distinct from the Miss Global International competition, founded by Montego Bay businessman Lachu Ramchandani.
