Reggae singer and songwriter Samory I is set to release his highly anticipated third studio album, Revelation, on May 29, via independent production house and label TunUp Squad Entertainment.
Produced by renowned Jamaican producer Clive Hunt, Revelation, the team says, “delivers a powerful blend of authentic roots reggae, soul, and contemporary sounds that further solidify Samory I’s place among reggae music’s most compelling voices”.
The project was coordinated by Ruel 'Potarice' Ashbourne, who also co-produced some of the tracks on the album.
Following the success of his previous releases, Revelation marks a critical milestone in Samory I’s musical journey. Known for his conscious lyrics and captivating melodies, the artiste does not hesitate to boldly explore his creativity while staying firmly rooted in reggae music's cultural traditions.
Themes of truth, resilience, spirituality, love, and social awareness, are neatly packaged in songs which provoke thought, while offering inspiration, and an unfiltered look at life.
“This album represents growth, reflection, and purpose,” said Samory I. “Revelation is about opening the eyes, mind, and spirit to deeper truths while keeping the music grounded in authenticity.”
With three singles from the project already released, to what Hensley ‘Gizzy’ Campbell of TunUp Squad Entertainment is hailing as “critical acclaim”, the team is eager to see how the full album will be received.
“Victory, a collab with Chronic Law, was the first song … and the goal was really just to do a single. But, when we go through the process of making Victory, yuh could see [that]I fell in love with the process of greatness. The story can’t get any better than that,” Campbell declared.
Season of Love and Siren, a collaboration with Govana, complete the trio of releases.
TunUp Squad is curating a special album listening event on Wednesday, May 27, at The Gardens of the Pegasus.
“Revelation's carefully crafted production is led by the legendary Clive Hunt and the collaborative energy of Potarice, and it delivers an authentic sound designed to resonate with reggae audiences worldwide,” the Tun Up Squad team stated.
Revelation will be available on all major streaming and digital platforms, beginning March 29.
