Reggae Ambassadors, an immersive, two-night concert experience is being marketed as a landmark event in Toronto, Canada, that will bring together some of reggae music’s most influential voices and dynamic performers for a celebration of culture, legacy, and musical excellence.

Staged by Kings of Kings International, headlining the October 9 and 10 concert are two legendary women, Sister Nancy and Marcia Griffiths, whose contributions have been instrumental in shaping reggae music globally.

Known for her groundbreaking hit Bam Bam, Sister Nancy remains a pioneering force in dancehall and reggae, inspiring generations of artistes with her unmistakable voice and fearless presence. Marcia Griffiths, often referred to as the ‘Queen of Reggae’, continues to captivate audiences worldwide with timeless classics such as Electric Boogie and her extensive catalogue of soulful, uplifting music. Both artistes have expressed their joy at reconnecting with their Toronto fans and promise that "it will be memorable".

Joining these icons onstage are a line-up of performers who represent the diversity of reggae music. Iley Dread brings a roots-driven sound that resonates with audiences seeking message-driven artistry, while Jah Mason, known for his energetic performances and spiritually grounded music, is expected to deliver a commanding set. Rounding out the line-up is Angie Angel, who adds a contemporary edge to the event while staying true to reggae’s foundational sound.

“Reggae Ambassadors is more than just a concert; it is a cultural experience designed to showcase reggae music as a global force for unity, resistance, and expression. It is not an awards show, but, as usual, we will be showing appreciation to these trailblazers in a meaningful way," Colin Levy of Kings of Kings International stated. He added that the event aims to bridge generations of fans while highlighting the genre’s continued relevance in today’s musical landscape.

Kings of Kings International has curated this event with a focus on excellence and authenticity. The choice of Toronto as the host city underscores its reputation as one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world, with a strong Caribbean community that has significantly contributed to the global spread of reggae music.

“Toronto has long been a vibrant hub for Caribbean culture and music,” said production manager, Brian Muntz. “With Reggae Ambassadors, we are creating a space where fans can experience the true essence of reggae, its history, its message, and its unmatched energy. This line-up reflects the strength and influence of reggae across generations.”

The concert, a release said, is expected to attract attendees from across Canada, The United States, and the Caribbean and “will offer a full cultural experience, with opportunities for fans to connect through music, dance, and shared appreciation of reggae’s enduring legacy”.
