Medical student Hannah Collings-Myers was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica Kingston and St Andrew early Sunday morning at the parish grand coronation held at the Douglas Orane Auditorium at Wolmer's Boys' School in Kingston.
Representing Digita Properties, the 20-year-old received the crown from Miss Universe Jamaica East 2025, Troy-Ann Anderson.
Medical doctor Tiyana Mowatt was named first runner-up, while psychology graduate Shaniece Douglas was named second runner-up. The three women will automatically advance to the national competition.
Among the sectional award winners, Mowatt received the Essence of Style Award, while Douglas was named Most Photogenic. Leighann Dacres Jones won both the Best in Evening Gown Award and the People's Choice Award. Calethia Campbell received the Altruism Award, and Abigail Barnes was recognised as most congenial.
Earlier this year, organisers of the Miss Universe Jamaica franchise announced the introduction of a parish-level preliminary model aimed at fostering more inclusive national representation and a more refined recruitment process through an islandwide search.
Kingston and St Andrew now join Portland and Westmoreland in naming parish queens under the new system.
The next coronation will take place on June 28 at the Golf View Hotel in Mandeville, where the parish queens for Manchester, Clarendon and St Elizabeth will be named.
