A dignified figure in a simple white coat suit, Mrs Coretta King is seen as she spoke at the National Arena on December 10, 1968, at the presentation ceremony in honour of her late husband.

Prime Minister Hugh Shearer (left) presents the Marcus Garvey Prize to Mrs Coretta Scott King, who received it on behalf of her late husband, Dr Martin Luther King Jr. He was awarded the prize for his outstanding service in the field of human rights. The presentation took place at the National Arena on December 10, 1968.

Mrs Coretta King, wife of the late American civil rights leader, the Rev Dr Martin Luther King, enjoyed great company while in Jamaica. She also visited several places meeting and greeting different groups.
