19- year-old captures coveted title

A confident 19-year-old, Audrey Dell, proudly claimed the prestigious title of Miss Kingston and St Andrew during the Miss Jamaica Nation Beauty contest hosted at the St John Ambulance Jamaica (SJAJ) headquarters on Camp Road. Among seven other contestants, she emerged as the crowned queen of the competition.

Corporate Area queen chosen

Miss Audrey Dell, a 19-year-old stenographer, was crowned Miss Kingston and St Andrew by Mrs Lola Neckles in the Miss Jamaica Nation Beauty contest which was held at the St John Ambulance Jamaica headquarters at Camp Road on Saturday night.

Runners-up were Fay Samuels, stenographer, second; Cynthia Steer, a typist with the Jamaica Defence Force, third; and Margaret Allen, a stenographer, was fourth.

MC was Beverley Anderson of the Jamaica Broadcasting  Corporation (JBC). The judges of the beauties were Vie Mendes, Joyce Robinson, Dorian Powell, Victor Creary and Edward Spear, chairman of the judges.
