Irie face
Jamaicans always show patriotic pride in our food, our festivities, even our clothes and accessories, but how many of us ladies ever considered putting on an irie face? We had a one-on-one with make-up artist Nicolina Diabo, who introduced us to three culturally festive looks you could rock for Reggae Month and beyond.
ALL IN THE IRIE LIPS
This look Diabo highlighted was inspired by Bob Marley in celebration of his birthday, which recently passed on February 6. So why not do the lips in the Rastafarian colours? Pucker up to red, gold and green this month, while taking the mysterious dark and lovely 'root' in the eyes.
REGGAE EYES
The influence of Reggae Month comes out in full force as Diabo toys with vibrant colours of Rastafarian flag and contrasts with black lips. Great for standing out without overdoing it.
ROCK THE JAMROCK LOOK
There would be no reggae with Jamaica, so inspired by our national flag, Diabo puts palette to face with black, green and gold. To give it a nice twist, she created a glitter cut crease and finished it off with bold lips to give it that strong and seductive look.
