At least two public sector bargaining groups have inked a wage agreement with the Government.

State Minister for Finance and the Public Service Rudyard Spencer told The Gleaner yesterday that the Government had already signed wage deals with some groups in the public sector and that it would be inking additional wage deals next week.

For months, several unions representing public-sector workers have been at a stalemate with the Government over a six per cent wage offer over two years.

Subsequently, the Government has adjusted its offer, putting on the table a four-year wage agreement with a four per cent offer for each year.
