Antigua and Barbuda prime minister assumes chairmanship of CARICOM

Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne assumed the chairmanship of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) on July 1.
Browne succeeds Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Dr Keith Rowley, and will serve for the next six months.
The Antigua and Barbuda prime minister holds responsibility for services in the CARICOM Quasi Cabinet.
He will chair the virtual 42nd Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government which begins tomorrow. High on the agenda is the COVID-19 pandemic and the region’s response, among several other important matters.
