J’cans can now purchase Dunn’s River tickets online
Jamaican residents are now able to purchase tickets to the world famous Dunn’s River Falls and Park in Ocho Rios, St Ann via the attraction’s website, www.dunnsriverfallsja.com.
This was announced Wednesday by the Urban Development Corporation (UDC), owners of the facility, which is managed by the subsidiary, St Ann Development Company (SADCo).
“The new system allows residents to reserve tickets in real time,” the company said in a release. “Upon completing their online purchase, customers receive an email with a sales receipt and a unique bar code. This bar code can be scanned directly at the web sales window on arrival, streamlining the ticketing process.”
Jamaicans can enter Dunn’s River at the discounted rates of $1,000 for adults and $500 for children, but need to present valid national identification such as a driver’s licence, voter’s ID, or passport.
These rates compare to the regular rates of US$25 (approx J$3,800) for adults and US$17 (approx J$2,600) for children.
Dunn’s River Falls and Park is Jamaica’s number-one attraction, pulling over a million visitors annually. The location has racked up many awards over the years, including the title of Caribbean’s Leading Adventure Tourist Attraction from the World Travel Awards for the Caribbean and North America; the Best Caribbean Attraction by the editor-in-chief of Porthole Cruise Magazine, and multiple other accolades.
