We need to change the curriculum especially in infant schools. Start from foundation - 1 whole year must be dedicated to phonics and arithmetic including story time and creative activity - cut out the themes and only build on phonics and arithmetic. No child should be graduating from an infant school and can’t read at the grade 1 level! – @mandayung_

Damion needs to understand that education policy is not trumpeted from a political platform. Wide consultation is required engaging all stakeholders. School administrators, parents, students, even the watchman and ancillary staff have to be consulted. Go back to school Damion! – @BettyJa77533964

Oh unnu better cause my child nah stay at school until four cause wat time she gonna reach home, she can hardly get taxi already much less. No see how time dangerous, there are other ways to fix the problems the education system is facing and that’s not it. Because they all want to continue making money from the extra lessons business? - @culturedoctor

It’s not the teachers responsibility to parent children. Extending school hours is just an attempt to have an unpaid babysitter. Parents need to step up and be even more accountable and responsible for their children’s education and behaviours. – @iamcashmall
