Vatican recants on Mary’s roles

THE EDITOR, Madam:

A Doctrinal Note titled Mater Populi Fidelis, issued by the Vatican on November 4, and signed by Pope Leo XIV, states that Mary should no longer be called or acknowledged as Co-Redeemer and Co-Mediator. The Church is to be commended for admitting this doctrine of error and being brave enough to say so. This should be a wake-up call to all believers in Yeshua to search the Scriptures for themselves and prove all things. Had they been reading the Bible for themselves, they would have clearly seen the verses below, questioned those in authority, and not have followed blindly.

Acts 4:12 KJV “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved”. This was speaking of Yeshua and this name in Hebrew means salvation.

1Timothy 2:5-6 KJV “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time”

Like all human beings, Mary needed a Saviour and a Mediator so she cannot act in those roles. She can be remembered for her willingness and obedience to the will of the Father, just as we should be.

The doctrines and traditions of men have replaced the Word of Yah for ages and it is recorded in Matthew 15:14 KJV (speaking of the religious leaders of the time) “Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch” Religious leaders have a great responsibility to rightly divide the Word of Truth.
